Here is my theme that I use for netbeans. It’s a mixture of Dr. Nic’s theme with a little dark textmate stuff rolled in. I hope you like it. I use Netbeans on an Ubuntu Linux laptop and work mainly with php, ruby and javascript and using this theme has made things a lot easier. The font in the picture is FreeMono.
To install the theme, open the zip file and place the contents in the netbeans/$version/Editors directory. If you just want to use the colors and keep the same font, don’t overwrite the editor personal preferences file.

hey…looks cool but I don’t see how to use it.
I’m new to netbeans but I don’t have an Editor directory..my netbeans is just the php version and I installed it in my home dir…it’s 6.5
know what I have to do?
Thanks!
Hi. Looks nice, very readable. But I could find neither Editors directory nor *color* pattern in neither my netbeans installation dir nor in my ~/.netbeans/ dir. How do I apply these colours? I’ve got NetBeans 6.5 full version. Thanks in advance.
I dunno why he didn’t told where to install it, but… anyway… on Windows it’s on:
%USERPROFILE%\.netbeans\6.5\config\
Just extract the zip on it and them open Netbeans, goto: Tools > Options >Colors & Fonts > Profile – Select ‘markyh’ > Ok
Nice color scheme, too colorful though… But I guess I can get used to it
Ps; Sorry, dunno where on Linux.
Thanks!
Mac users, backup your ~/.netbeans/6.5/config/Editor folder before replacing it with the one provided in the zip file.
jus formatted my computer and couldnt find this theme so went through a bunch of others before finding this page again and jus wanted to know… this theme is by far the best for PHP dev…THANKS!
It is very cool, but I really don’t know how to use it,haha~~~
